It ain't cheap but Zaino is about as good as you can get. You may need to use a good cleaner or clay first but ZAINO works.

I have heard a new product from McGuire's - new generation or 2nd generation works well also.

They have a web site Zaino.com or Zainostore.com I believe. They are in PA.

Hey ben if you use white polish it will shine it up a bit better, but bring out some of the more ugly spot, use a black or darker polish it will hide some of it.

If you are serious about restoring your paint read on....I too have a black Volvo (1998 S70 GLT) and I was considering repainting due to the swirls, scratches- some of which were pretty deep. After speaking to my local body shop heres what I did: Step 1 Wet sand with 1200 grit and soap water Step 2: Wash, dry and apply 3M Perfect-It III Rubbing Compound (#05933) with varable speed buffer at apx.2000 rpm. Use med to light pressure, as compound dries use very little pressure. Step 3: Wash, dry andapply 3M Perfect-It Foam Polishing Pad Glaze (#05996) Apply same way as the rubbing compund but run buffer at 2500 rpm. Step 4: Wash, dry andapply Meguiar's Gold Classic Clear Coat Liquid Car Wax. **It is absolutly importaint to use the recommended pads for the rubbing compound & polish for sucess!!!**

This is a 6+ hour job and can not be rushed. Also, it is notfor the faint hearted as your car will look like a disaster aster you wet sand it but the result is a absolute deep glass-like finish and is well worth the investment, which buy the was is around 100.00 for the compound, polish, 2 pack of foam pads, 1 buffing cloth disk, 1 pkg. of 1200 wet sand paper and around 60.00 for a Chicago varioable speed polisher. Good Luck!

850, I didn't take any before shots. I now wish that I did. Before working the paint job I promissed myself I would never own another black car again, but I'm so satisfied with the results I would have no hesitation whatsoever.
