i need to replace my steering wheel...im having trouble w/ the 1st 2 screws...doh!

ive turned the steering wheel with screws vertical, but i cannot get enough clearance to get my driver w/ torx bit in...

1. whats the trick? get a shorted torx driver? from where...any tips? ive tried a lisle bit on a 1/4" drive...but bit isnt long enough to reach screw head...

2. any idea what size it is T25, T27, T30...

many thanks in advance!

The torx is a 30, I usually use the long shaft bits, like the one I recommend for the thermostat housing. Make sure you pull the steering wheel out as far as you can and that will help.
