What is this?
What does the hose running from this to the intercooler carry, I'm sure it's air but will this effect my performance if it has a hole in the hose?

The box houses the ECU and the transmission computer.
The box is cooled by the cabin A/C, the hose to the radiator is the hose that discharges the air from the box.
Once it breaks, it is left open (mostly).

It's not actually running from the intercooler, just fresh air flowing past it. Keeps your ECU cool, leave it be.

They're built for the heat, so I don't think cooling it much more would make it work any better...
