I've been in a toss up between the Continental ContiExtreme and the Kuhmo Ecsta ASX in 235/40/17 for my new Pegs.I

think after what I read,my money is on the Kuhmo. They are both close to the same price at discount tire direct.com. I'm just hoping they don't rub,but there is only one option in a 225/40/17,and I don't know anyone who has a set of Nitto 555 Extreme on their car.Anybody know anything about Nitto?
I've read good things about both the Conti's and the Kumho's.
Dunno about Nitto, but they cost almost double.
I think the most important thing is to rotate the tires every oil change.
People have mentioned winter tires in this thread. If I lived in Minnesota, they might be necessary. The roads here, however, are clear 99% of the time. Even after a snowstorm, they're usually completely clear in 24 hours. The all-season tires are a great compromise.
