George Rating: 7 Comments: The sales people are really your typical car salesman: Just want to sell you a car without answering questions and very uptight. However, I have had good luck with the service department. They might not wash/vacuum your car, but if you present a list of problems/issues with your car, they will take car of everything. Just make sure you know what you're talking about and they won't give you any trouble. If you do not like their service, complain. Customer service is one of their foundations as a dealer, and show that off.
Anonymous Rating: 1 Comments: Sleazy!!! The ultimate in high pressure sales. I was embarassed by the sexism displayed by sales men toward my wife as they attempted to bully us into buying a car that day. I will never buy a car from a place like this. The sales man himself may not have been entirely to blame as the sales manager was far more abrasive and more interested in making the sale than pleasing the customer.

Anonymous Rating: 10 Comments: Excellent! The sales people were knowledgeable, respectful, and reasonable. The service department was excellent -- they even replaced my burned out light bulb when the car was serviced under warranty! (at no cost and without mention!) They simply do what they promise and do it well.
Greg W Rating: 6 Comments: I have only dealt with their service counter, and they are ok, once you can get someone to help you!!! I usually have to stand there in full view for a few minutes before anyone comes to help me. The prices are typical dealer - high! I have a friend who did have a pleasant experience buying an off-lease car from them.
Tom Rating: 9 Comments: Bad experience with sales person - high pressure and didn't care about the sale after he found out I was driving an Ford Escort. Service department experience was typical OK, only been one. Parts department very friendly and helpful but price is still high when comparing to other mail order dealer.

Rating: 10 Comments: I am a second generation buyer from this dealership: my father bought his first Volvo there in 1968 (after being turned off by pressure-oriented salesforce from another Mass retailer); I began my relationship in Nov. 2000. Everything from sales to service is professional and thorough. Highly recommended.
Tom Rating: 9 Comments: Very low pressure and knowledge sales team. Very good service department, I almost spoiled by the service team.

Keith Korbut Rating: 8 Comments: Good service department but some of their parts department people have a attitude. Overall they get parts fast when ordered and they have some very skilled service people.

Russ Bertrand Rating: 7 Comments: The Salesmen are typical, Service is very good, but the sevice writer ("Chip") sure can spread the BS! They followed up on my purchase, a '93 850GLT, took care of the few problems that I had, and helped me get good financing.I give an 7 because of the less-than-truthful statements of the service writer.

Rating: 3 Comments : Somewhat incompetent! They sold us what they thought was a '95 but turned out to be a '96 and did not discover this fact until they went to title the car. The sales people did not know the simple differences between models and standard equipment, cars were deceivingly mis-labelled such as our car. The dealership did not follow through with what they promised -- e.g. when bringing the car in for service and after being promised a loaner, they had no record of the promise in the service department.
Anonymous Rating: 2 Comments: Went there 2x looking for a used Volvo. Took a few for test drives, cars were dirty, didn't run will, sales person said only if I put down a deposit they would take fix it. Needless to say, never purchased a car there. Used their service 2x - both times I was double charged for some items, both times they didn't want to refund the overcharge, but instead offered a "service credit". Took some yelling & screaming to get my money. Parts department is OK, the guy running it seems to know his stuff, so I will buy parts there, but never a car, nor will I ever use the service department.

Rating: 8 Comments: The guys at the parts counter are very helpful and friendly. At least a couple of them are RWD enthusiasts who I believe have race experience in Volvos. The prices are a little better than Boston Volvo Village.

Rating: 9 Comments: Very good independent mechanic shop, Volvo-only, Fred Swanson and his crew know them inside and out, all years and models. Expensive, but worth it, they are top-notch. Just try not to get stuck there waiting while Fred is chattin on the phone with a buddy about women and other stuff. He did that to me once, and I was waiting for 10 minutes to get my car back. I doubt he would have done that to a female customer. Anyways, I still go there because he's simply the best around.

Rating: 9 Comments: While on a trip, I had an engine problem. The service writers at Volvo Village put me at the head of the line for a quick appointment and were very precise about the repair. I've bought parts there as well and the parts folks are patient and accurate, spending in one case about five minutes to look up one small bulb number on a Saturday morning.
