With time the center door hinge, mainly on the front doors can crackle or pop when you open the doors. The worst case is the bracket that the 40mm torx screw fastens to, will need to be re-welded to the A post. The best case is tightening of the 10mm nuts and 40mm torx will get rid of the noise.

         Open the door and locate the center hinge. There are two 10mm nuts that should be checked for tightness. Careful when tightening the 10mm nuts, use only a in drive and dont snap the stud they are secured to.

         Pull the rubber boot towards the door to get a good look at the 40mm torx screw. I use an eight to ten inch extension on my 3/8 drive. Unscrew the torx and apply some red lock-tight to the bolt and then put the 40 torx back in and tighten it. In most cases this fixes the noise.
