The first step in replacing the light in the glove box is to open the glovebox and unfasten the two arms. This is best accomplished with a mechanics pick as shown above. Press in at the base of the arm and they should pop free. Once they are loose simply push them back and out of the way.

         With the arms out of the way remove the six torx circled above. The next step is to pull out the glove box. A hint I find useful is to remove the cover from the light and this will provide a place to grip.

         Now direct your attention towards the light. You will see a plastic cylinder covering the light. Remove this by sliding in the direction of the arrows. Once this is done you will have access to the bulb. Simply press in on it and turn counter clockwise to remove it. To install the new bulb, just press it in and turn clockwise. The bulb is Volvo part number 182055 and it's 2 watts. Another option though is standard 4 watt 3893. With the new bulb installed reinstall the glove box in reverse order and you are done.
