S/V 70 Console
From Bay 13

Most S/V 70 are still covered under factory warranty, however you may want to remove your console to replace the light bulb in the shifter. The light bulb part number is 1363149 and is about $3.50 at your local Volvo Dealer. Starting with the above picture, you first have to remove the cover that's already off by just prying it up. The red arrow is pointing to the adjustment for the parking brake. Top and bottom of the red arrow are 8mm bolts/screws that have to be removed. If you drop them down in the hole you should be able to find them when you get the console out of the way.

Next the trim around the had brake has to be removed. Grab the covering and pull towards the drivers seat and it will pop loose like shown. After the trim is popped loose, free the trim from the console and shove the leather covering off the hand brake so you can set it out of the way.

Below the parking brake handle are two white connectors that you must disconnect. Raise the hand brake and it will give you a little more room. After you have the connectors off, Put the shifter in low (engine off) and slowly raise up the back of the console.

The console is just snapped in, lift up (high) to clear the shifter and pull back slowly and the console will be free to be set out of the way. (The change you find now might pay for the light bulb)

The light bulb is shoved up into the white plastic holder, just pull it down on the black base and unplug the old light, replacing it and insert it back into the holder. Take your time there is not much free play with the wire to the bulb, but you know it will go back in. In the future I'll describe replacing the shift lock micro switch, it's a bit different than the 850, same set up just harder to get to, it's under the shifter.
